In 2004, all the main global ratings companies gave South Africa an investment grading of stable or positive. The economy grew by 5.1% in 2005 and has had 30 consecutive quarters of economic growth - one of the longest in the country's history. But it's not just facts and figures that South Africa offers. With 250 days of sunshine per year and having been awarded the World Cup 2010, South Africa has been on the property investors radar for some time.

In 2005 alone, South African property prices rose by 32%, and leading up to the World Cup, it is predicted that prices will rise by over 60%. Cities like Johannesburg and Cape Town have already seen a massive surge in investor numbers, and the future looks pretty bright for this nation.

South Africa has seen its share of ups and downs, however, for the past several years the South Africa property market has seen more prosperity than anything else. This sunny outlook has been, in large part, influenced by the favorable tax incentives that the South African government has instituted.
