Barbados is the leading island destination in the Southern Caribbean for British, North American and European tourists. Research undertaken by the Institute for Public Policy Research in London showed that 27,000 Brits choose Barbados as their second home.

Barbados continues to draw the keen overseas investor due to its ever growing property market. There is still huge opportunity to invest especially the costal properties which are showing the biggest returns due to increasing reduction in availability. The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association have reaffirmed Barbados as a mature destination for those seeking to invest or simply retire on the island, and with an existing retired population of Brits already reaching 5,000, more and more expats are seeking the sunnier homes.
