Pamporovo city guide |
| Europe property market - Bulgaria | |
|
Bulgaria is a country of varied beauty. It boasts beautiful Mediterranean beaches as well as first-class ski resorts in the higher elevated parts of the country. One of the more popular ski resorts is in the Bulgarian town of Pamporovo.
Pamporovo is located in Smolyan Province in the southern part of Bulgaria. It is the best known ski resort in south-east Europe as it is set amidst truly breathtaking pine forests in a picturesque and wholly natural scene. The resort boasts excellent skiing and snowboarding for people of all levels and ages. In fact, it has 25 km of first-class ski runs and 38km of cross-country skiing tracks that are served by 18 lifts for a total capacity of 8,500 serviced people every hour. Pamporovo winters tend to be milder than winters elsewhere in Europe making skiing conditions excellent for those who abhor the cold associated with some of the continent's other popular resorts. The winters also tend to be longer on average with approximately 150 days of snowfall annually. The long season gives the resort ample time to profit from their métier. Additionally the resorts have begun making the most of their natural attributes by offering tourists mountaineering, walking and environmental tourism in the summer. The Pamporovo resort is about 2 hours away from Plovdiv and it is reached by a series of winding roads. It is a relatively small town with many places of interest to visit. In fact, most places are within walking distance in the city and on clear days you can see the Greek coast from the top of the highest peak in the area. The town has recently been filled with four and five star hotels, restaurants, clubs, pubs, fitness centres and other entertainment venues. Currently Pamporovo boasts a very healthy and well-priced property market that offers investors decent potential to earn significant returns from rental income. There are many reasons for the interest in Pamporovo – its idyllic placement in the mountains, its affordability and the number of places of historic, cultural and natural interest that abound in the area. There is definite room for price growth over the long term as more people discover the charms of this hilltop get-away. In fact, many British passport holding citizens have already become wise to the beauty and potential inherent in Pamporovo and they have been fuelling the mini-boom in construction that the city has been experiencing. If you are looking to invest in real estate in Bulgaria, one of the best cities in which to place your money right now is Pamporovo. However, to ensure you get a return on your investment make sure that the property you purchase is in a good location with access to higher end facilities such as gyms, indoor swimming pools, saunas and exercise rooms. The Bulgarian property market is very exciting right now and it is the little towns that are pushing the investor craze. Cities such as Pamporovo will, in the long run, prove to be as profitable as any of the major tourist centres of Europe. Like what you read? Digg it. Tag it. Share it.
