More than 150,000 UK citizens own property in France, and although the market has slowed since the heady highs of the late 1990’s, prices in popular resort regions continue to increase at a steady rate. Ski chalets, farmhouses, chateaux and urban apartments offer plenty of choice for house hunters. However, new build now represent the most buoyant segment of the French property market with pre construction purchases soaring since 2001.
